PTSD can make it difficult to feel safe, present, and in control of your life. Trauma doesn’t just live in the past—it can linger in the body and mind, resurfacing as nightmares, intrusive thoughts, or sudden emotional reactions. Even when you try to move forward, you may feel stuck in a cycle of fear, avoidance, or emotional numbness.
You might feel on edge, constantly scanning for danger, or struggling with flashbacks that make past experiences feel painfully real. Everyday situations can trigger overwhelming distress, making it hard to trust others, relax, or feel at ease in your own body. At CopeWell Psychiatry & Wellness, Dr. Udo Chukwuocha, DNP, a dual board-certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner, provides compassionate, integrative care tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll work toward healing, helping you regain control and break PTSD’s hold on your life. Call the office or request a telemedicine or in-person visit today.
If past experiences are interfering with your daily life, relationships, or emotional well-being, seeking support can help. An evaluation can help determine if PTSD treatment is the right step for you.
That’s okay. PTSD treatment isn’t about forcing you to relive painful experiences. We focus on helping you feel safe, regain stability, and build tools to manage symptoms at your own pace.

Insurance can be confusing. Here are some key terms explained:
A fixed amount you pay for each appointment, such as $30 per visit.
The amount you pay out-of-pocket before your insurance starts covering services. Once you meet your deductible, your insurance kicks in.
After you’ve met your deductible, you might pay a percentage of the cost, such as 20%, while insurance pays 80%.
The most you’ll pay in a year. Once you hit this amount, insurance covers 100% of covered services.
In-network providers have negotiated rates with your insurance, which usually means lower costs for you. Out-of-network providers may cost more, but you might still get partial reimbursement.
