Your journey begins with a thorough diagnostic evaluation to understand your unique symptoms, history, and goals. This initial assessment allows us to gain a complete picture of your mental health and forms the foundation of your personalized treatment plan.

When appropriate, our provider offers expert medication management to help alleviate symptoms and restore balance. We carefully monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed, ensuring your treatment is both safe and effective while prioritizing your comfort.

Our Compassionate Care Provider

Dr. Udo Chukwuocha holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and is board certified as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). Patients describe her as patient, calm and ready to listen. She looks at the whole person, not a list of symptoms, and builds each treatment plan with you.

Our Psychiatric Care Process

Your first visit is a full psychiatric evaluation by secure video. We talk through your symptoms, history, current medications and goals, so we understand the whole picture before recommending anything.

Together, you and Dr. Udo build a plan that fits your needs. It may include medication management, lifestyle changes or a referral for therapy, and you help decide each step.

Follow-up video visits focus on how you are feeling and how your medication is working. When it helps, they include brief supportive therapy using Motivational Interviewing.

We track how you respond to treatment over time. If something is not working or side effects come up, your plan is adjusted with you.

Who Benefits from Psychiatric Care?

Psychiatric care helps Kent adults whose mood, worry, focus or sleep is getting in the way of work, relationships or daily life. Shift work and long commutes in South King County can make in-person appointments hard to keep, and a video visit only needs a private space. We are now accepting new adult patients in Kent. You need to be in Washington at the time of each visit. Our only office is in Killeen, Texas, so Kent patients are seen online.
